The New and Improved Thrall's Pharmacy

By: Erin Crissman, Curator

After a winter of work that began the day after Candlelight Evening in December, Thrall's Pharmacy is ready to usher in a new season of school workshops, in-depth learning experiences and families of visitors from across the country.  This building is one of the most popular at the museum, primarily due to Patrick McGregor, our knowledgeable and friendly pharmacist.  With so much foot traffic over the years, the inside of this building was in need of some TLC.

The building received plaster repair and new paint throughout, newly finished floors, freshly painted furinture and brand new dispensing counters.  The counters are just about finished and I'll post more about them next week.  Enjoy the photos below and, if you plan to visit once we re-open on April 1, you can see it in person, as well!
